Monetary Donations  Support victims of domestic violence, sexual violence and stalking transition to safe and independent living by providing assistance for emergency services such as temporary housing, transportation, food and other basic life needs for them and their children.  Go to A Way Forward’s website and designate the donation to the DVAC fund.

Small Denomination Gift Cards  Gift cards are used in emergency situations for survivors and children that seek DVAC services.  These gift cards are especially useful: Wal-Mart, Target, Giant Food, Safeway, Visa or other type of cash cards, Panera, Subway and Pot Belly.

Courtroom Attire Project Assists survivors with free appropriate courtroom and business attire.  Requests include:

Kid§pace  The Kids Space provides a comfortable environment for children during their time at DVAC.  Requested donations include:

  • Wall mounted TV and Wall mount stand to secure to the wall
  • DVD player
  • Video gaming system and games
  • Individual Hand held video games (Tetris, Solitaire, etc.)
  • Extra Batteries for anything electronic

Food Pantry Items  The following items are suggested non-perishables that can help us help our clients during a transitional period:

  • Baby Food in Jars
  • Cold/hot instant cereals
  • Canned/dry beans
  • Pop tarts
  • Canned soup or stew
  • Small packages of Bisquick
  • Canned fruit/vegetables
  • Pancake mix
  • Tomato sauce
  • Muffin mix
  • Dry sauce mixes
  • Jelly/honey/syrup
  • Boxed/canned drinks
  • Granola bars
  • Coffee/tea
  • Snack foods
  • Dry powdered formula
  • Dry milk
  • Pasta & rice
  • Canned meats
  • Mac-n-cheese
  • Peanut butter
  • Dry sides
  • Dressing/oils
  • Boxed meal “helpers”

*When making food donations, please review the expiration date printed on the package. Make sure the expiration date is at least a year ahead of the donation date.  Grocery gift cards are always welcome in lieu of food.
